Sustainment Technologies is an 8(a) Certified, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Small Disadvantaged Business, and State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) that was originally founded by Ignacio L. Torres, Jr. in 1970, as Torres & Associates, Inc.
In 2003, Edward F. Torres, Ignacio’s son, changed its name to Sustainment Technologies, Inc. (a “doing business as” name) with the intent of refocusing its efforts to sustaining our nation’s medical facility requirements and equipment assets. Prior to this, Edward spent nearly 27 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as Colonel, after a career as a health care facility project manager, designer, and eventually hospital administrator and commander. He has also served on a command staff that operated 9 major military healthcare installations, where he instituted innovative sustainment and maintenance programs for facilities and equipment that resulted in significant savings and improved asset visibility and life cycle management.
